Are all these necessary or can yo pick and choose?
before you start at all do you need to do any of them first, i picked up on a secret menu while in line at verizon. some guy didn't want to pay for vcast if he had a mp3, i believe this phone has one and the thought of verizon turning options off so they could get more money from you. well i ended up here? so the real question....can i just turn on the mp3 player for now?

Posted: Wed, 06/07/2006 - 05:27 by styolif you are referring to the guides, the only mandatory steps you have to take in order to do pretty much anything (along the lines of pc-to-phone) is install the V3C drivers... its similar to installing a printer or other device in that when you plug it in via the USB cable it will seek drivers to interface with the phone.
heres the guide to installing the V3C drivers:
http://www.hacktherazr.com/guide.setup.usb.html
then to upload mp3's, videos, and pictures to your phone you can use MPT (mobile phone tools). For a guide on how to setup an older version of MPT to work with the V3C, visit the following guide:
http://www.hacktherazr.com/guide.setup.mpt.html
If you have the V3C from Verizon and upload actual mp3's to your phone via MPT then you should be able to automatically play them on your phone without having to enable anything else.
hope this helps!

Please Download this file so i can keep uploading Ringtones, Videos, and Pictures for the Users of Hack The Razr. It is completely safe due to it being a .txt

Posted: Thu, 06/22/2006 - 06:51 by styolThe only way to actually listen to the songs you upload is through the regular Get It Now page and then goto Get Tunes & Tones and somewhere in that list should be the mp3 you uploaded. then just scroll down to it and click play. also take note that you can usually raise/lower the volume using the double button on the side of the phone.
dont forget that you can also apply this uploaded mp3s as the default ringer, or even associate the mp3 as the ringer for someone from your contacts.
hope this helps and works for you and everyone else who may be reading this :)
