how to disable evdo, and possibly save battery life...
hey there.
as you may or may not have seen, there is a guide on this site (for the verizon razr) to disable EVDO in the claim that it might help extend your battery life...
well! im pretty sure i just figured out how to disable EVDO for the Sprint razr
but i need your help to see if it actually does help with battery life.. my friend has complained about his sprint razrs battery life, so yeah hopefully this will help everyone.
How to find your MSL code
Run MSU (Motorola Software Update) and keep it running
Run the p2k seem editer program from the downloads section
(if it does not say Connected in the bottom left hand corner, something is wrong and this will not work)
type in -- Seem: 0055
click load from phone
and there you have your 6 digit MSL code
how to use the MSL code to disable EVDO
on your phone, press ##DATA# quickly, or it may not activate the power vision programming menu...
scroll down to option 9. EVDO and click OK
scroll down to option 2. Edit and click OK
Enter your MSL code that you just retrieved
scroll down to option 2. Mode Pref and click OK
select the radio button for CDMA and click OK
click the BACK button on your phone 3 times, and your phone will now reset and the changes should take place.
So yeah! give this a try, and please post back and let me know if this worked for you... im going to start making a section of this site dedicated just to sprint razr owners, so this is one piece of the puzzle that we're trying to build :)

Test it out for us, though. You can always re-enable it.

It's even better because USCC doesn't have EVDO support yet, so there's no reason for it to even be on... unless you like wasting battery life. :D
