MP3s as Ringtones Using BlueTooth Using Mac OSX

This may be old news (heck I haven't posted on hacktherazr for almost two years) but it may help someone.

Easily add MP3 files to your Sprint V3m by using bluetooth file exchange on Mac OSX.

First, sync your phone to your mac. This is done by activating bluetooth on your phone and mac, then use "set up bluetooth device" on your mac under System Preferences > Hardware > Bluetooth. (as a hint, check the box that displays the BT icon in the menu bar)

Then, go to Bluetooth > Browse Device and select your phone. After your phone syncs with your mac, a folder view will come up displaying your phone's files and folders. I suspect this is not a complete view, but getting P2K or BitPim for mac is a major headache.

Anyway, then comes the easy part. The file system should show you four folders, one of which should be called "Audio". Double click on this folder, and you might see some of the ringtones you already have. Simply click on "send" in the BT file transfer box, select the MP3 file you want to send to your phone, and you're done. Your MP3 will appear in your phone, ready to use as a ringtone.

Notes:
My phone is a gunmetal gray V3m using software version 24.2_00.43.00R, which I updated to on 9.26.08.

fyi this is the same way it works for any phone that has BT OBEX enabled. Same way I transfer ringtones to all my Moto flashed phones. Even works on certain model VZW phones depending on the firmware. However on certain phones the file location is different but the process works the same way tho.
