lol ive really gotta come up with a smart solution for all these hackthe* sites... i know what i need to do but its like mind boggling to get it to work (ive tried like 3 times already, always end up in the same place) id explain but its not worth it (basically, drupal "multi-sites") sounds all easy when you look into it... *bzzz* wrong
the grand scheme of things would be to essentially just have 1 mainframe powering everything, with different wrappers on the same system for each underlying domain (of which, the domain has to tell the mainframe what content it should send the user, as it would be different from hackthe* to hackthe*), while maintaining things like the "session" via cookie (what keeps you logged in to this site as you navigate its pages). Would/should also allow for things like sharing the media between all the sites (if applicable, audio usually applies in any way shape or form at minimum)
im just gonna have to post some questions on drupal's forum or something and get this bad girl laced up.

I won't go into the details here, but the hit from your mainframe remains a curiosity to me . . . . And who knows how that happened unless you used your mainframe to access my site. If you didn't, then close the hole.
Like I said, I won't post details, but I have 'seen' the beginnings of all the hackthe* sites that you have in mind.

Posted: Mon, 10/27/2008 - 13:27 by styolyeah ive got some buns kinda in the oven,... basically for that site i just played with the template one night and made a couple book pages. but its totally way underdeveloped.
ive been kinda getting pushed now because i had another free wap proxy type idea.. cause for the iphone, first of all, there is no picture messaging. whack. ultra whack. att actually blocks it. there is a application you can get for picture messaging, but att actually prevent iphone users from using their MMS server/proxy
so like a month ago i setup and tested the idea of having a public MMS server/proxy that could be used for the ATT iphone customer (and i suppose any cell phone where you can change the MMS settings to use a different MMS server) which would equate to free picture messaging for anyone and everybody -- if the idea were to work.
so because of my own annoyed state of not having picture messaging, i started posting looking for help setting this MMS server up, and lately people are finally starting to show interest so ive been kinda getting poked to semi-finish that site.
note: that is also the site that i have been testing the whole network of sites thing, and currently you can log into hacktherazr.com and then goto hackthe3g.com and you're already automagically logged in with your profile and private messaging (those are the only shared aspects currently, otherwise its a complete different drupal install/site)
so yeah.. havnt had enough time but its been an ok test grounds for the concept of having 10 hackthe*.com sites networked together building on the 21,000 user database that this site already has. seckshual.
