New to V3m/Hacks
Hey everyone. Just got my new Red Sprint V3m earlier today. Of course im going to want to do some tweaking. Having done such things on much, much earlier phones (nothin this high tech) I have gone ahead and done a phone reset in prep. I need a couple of tips if you all dont mind. First off, code to dial in to reenter MSID etc to enable phone usage. Second and more prevantly, any "Must have" tweaks to said phone. At the moment I am without a USB to PC cord, so if there is any in phone tweaks, please let me know how and what. I thank you all much for this starting advice and look forward to becomming a part of the team!

Posted: Wed, 04/04/2007 - 20:23 by sprinteck399I also have a red razr (AMAZING :D ). The only thing that i would suggest doing is disabling EVDO, if you do not plan on using it that is. Even for this though you will need a cable. Other than that there is nothing major that needs to be tweaked or can be tweaked. I have been trying to get free wap from day 1; have tried every thing in my brain. I am very good with hacking cell phones but sprint has kept me stumped from day 1.
WORD OF WARNING :!:
If you start messing with things under the ##DATA# menu, especially under the browser menu, the only way to get it back to true "out of the box" working order is have sprint do an over the air push (BIG DEAL).

Posted: Wed, 04/04/2007 - 21:41 by polycat33Uh... is disabling EVDO different for Sprint? Cause a cable isn't necessary for Verizon and I didn't think they'd be that different... are you sure a cable is necessary to disable EVDO?
And yarborough, you're REALLY going to want to get a cable... there are tons of things you can do to your phone with a cable, and next to nothing without. Plus, they're SUPER cheap. I just got a retractable one off ebay for four dollars (price included shipping) and that one was kinda special with the retracting part, I'd imagine you can get the regular cable for just as good a deal.

TRUE, a cable is not needed for the actual hack.

HOW CAN I ENABLE JAVA ON SPRINT RAZR V3M AS IT IS BREW 3.1. VOIP (SKYPE, ISKOOT, NIMBUZZ, ETC) WILL NOT WORK ON SPRINT RAZR V3M.
