Verizon fixed DUN backdoor -- this thread contains a fix
Tethered DUN was working fine yesterday. Today, I got online, and was automatically redirected to https://dunsp.vzw.com/, which says "This device is currently not authorized to access Dial-Up Networking services, please contact your wireless service provider for more details."
Nothing on my plan has changed or anything. Are they on to me?

Posted: Thu, 01/28/2010 - 15:34 by wik3dandbibunnyidk if this would be of any help, but i use my v3m with linux ubuntu. all i had to do was the seem edit for dun using pyde's modified seem. then set up a mobile broadband connection in ubuntu 9.10. it automatically picked up my phone as k1m/l7c/v3m. selected my carrier verizon. i left all the settings as they were. and left the username and password boxes blank.. connected and i use everyday.. also my phone is prepaid so i dont' know if you would be billed on any contract plan or not. mine is completely free
