Hack the Razr Blue Bars!

Although we're not all the way there yet, you can now change some of the Verizon red menu bars,as well as alot of other images and icons on your phone. Not to mention some text color changes, position of menus, windows, etc, and alot more. This guide will show you how to upload a new Blue theme to your phone that will change the verizon red bars to blue during a phone call, while dialing a number, while browsing the wireless web, and certain menu areas.

A guide is coming soon on how to make your own bars, so sit tight. Not to mention that this is part of the key to skinning the entire phone.

Also, these files can be renamed to replace the theme of Business and Tropical as well. Menu skins will not be affected by this hack.

For this guide we will be using: * Motorola Razr V3C / V3m / KRZR for Verizon * Your favorite filesystem explorer (bitpim or p2k commander) How to make those red bars BLUE dammit! Download these 3 files to your computer, somewhere you can remember. For Blue.ski, you may need to right mouse click and select Save target as... These can be renamed to be uploaded as the Business and Tropical theme as well Blue1.dat Blue.dat Blue.ski

1.Connect your phone and start your favorite filesystem explorer (bitpim or p2k commander)

2.Find your way to a/mobile/skins/blue/ (or other skins directory if you choose to apply it to a different theme)

3.Make a backup of the original files by saving them to your computer in a folder like "backup". Did you forget? download the originals

4.Upload the 3 files to your phone in the proper directory

Please note that if you are currently set on Display Theme: Blue - that Blue1.dat may fail to upload with BitPim.

5.Now you're ready to go change your display theme to Blue, and as soon as its set, you will see the new Hack the Razr Blue Bars!
