I have a phone that I would like to activate on a different network than it was originally on.
How does one go about taking a phone that is originally on the Telus network (for example) and activating it on, for example, Verizon's network? Is there an unlock process that needs to be done? Or is there something else that needs to be done in order for it to work?

unlocking phones is only common for phones found on GSM networks, where the v3c is for CDMA networks only (like the C at the end of v3c). v3c's unlike the v3 do not need to be, and cannot be, "unlocked". the closest thing is flashing its firmware to match your wireless carrier, should it be different then the phone you have and even at that rate its not guaranteed its going to work.
unfortunately, this is not a simple question and there isnt a simple answer (that im aware of) and would be best suited if you direct your question to the forum.
